My dad served as an officer in the Marines during the Korean war. He talks about it still today with such pride. I think he views that as one of his biggest accomplishments.

My grandpa Tom, my late stepdad, Bob and my dad are all vets that I would like to honor. I'm so grateful to all the men and the women that have fought and defended our country.

My dad was a medical tec at a Navy mobile hospital during the Korean war. He helped the doctors perform surguries on patients who had brian injuries. He was part of the team that pioneered this procedure. Previously, soldiers with a head injuries were evacuated to a hospital and then the surgery was performed. I think that is pretty cool! Way to go dad!

My dad was a Medic in WWII. He was a Staff Sergeant. His mission started in Morocco and headed to Ansio Beach in Italy. His group knocked out all communications for the Germans at the Dachau concentration camp so the Army could move in and liberate the camp.

My favorite veteran is my dad. He was in the Army before I was born. He was on the Screaming Eagles Parachute team which is part of the 101st Airborne. He jumps out of planes with a parachute. I am proud of him.
